  1. The group maintains a 4 hectare area of steeply sloping woodland overlooking the centre of Huddersfield, planting trees and bulbs, installing and maintaining bird and bat boxes, maintaining the public rights of way and paths of convenience through the woods. Work parties are the first sunday in every month meeting at the top of the 'Cat steps' (between 78 & 79 Bank End Lane).
    Committee meetings take place 3 times a year

History

  1. Formed in 1995, the group has planted hundreds of native trees and wildflowers, installed many bird and bat boxes including owl boxes, constructed flights of steps and revetted paths across sloping ground, and kept the area free of litter.
