  1. Training in traditional Tang Soo Do incorporating shukokai, Wado Ryu Hapkido, Self defence and some weapons training.
    West Riding Korean Karate are members of the World United Martial Arts federation (WUMA).
    Classes are suitable for students from 5 years old.

    Thursdays 6pm - 7.30pm in the Church Hall, St Bartholomew's Church Liley Lane, Grange Moor.
    and
    Saturdays 12noon - 1.30pm at Nirvana fitness and Martial Arts, Perseverance Mills Off Lockwood Scar, Lockwood.

Venue

History

  1. West Riding Korean Karate first started in Wakefield in 1993 as Wakefield Tang soo Do.
    The club expanded to cover Huddersfield and Mirfield and became known as West Riding Korean Karate (WRKK).
    The Wakefield class closed in 1998 due to problems with room hire at that time.
    The club has a steady membership in Huddersfield and Mirfield.
    Master Atkinson 5th Dan Black Belt WBOB HOF is assisted by Mr Philip Rowling 3rd Dan Black Belt WBOB (particularly at the Mirfield Classes)
    and several other Black belts.
    All the main instructors are CRB checked.
