Include any ways of contacting your organisation that you’re happy to publish on the Web. If you’re giving someone else’s details, first ensure they’re happy for these details to be published.

Please include an e mail address for the organisation if at all possible. It need not be published, but it is helpful to us as we use e mail for updating purposes.

  1. • To improve relations and understanding between Muslims and Christians, and those of other faiths in North Kirklees.
    • To improve the quality of life of local people by working together on agreed projects and in other ways approved by the NKIC in order to demonstrate our commitment to partnership working between people of different faiths, those exploring faith and those with no faith.
    • To work towards racial and religious equality in all areas of life.
    • To influence decision making in all areas of public life and to form links with and be consulted by statutory and voluntary bodies.
    • To initiate projects as agreed by the NKIC and to obtain funding as required.
    • To share concerns and to provide mutual support.
    • To promote the positive role of religious faith in daily living.
    • To ensure full and proper dissemination of information and improve communication links between the Muslim, Christian, other faith communities and those exploring faith and those with no faith.
    • To be aware of any projects to improve mutual understanding or meeting the needs of the local community and to support such projects.
