  1. For over 25 years we have been a grassroots organisation developed by passionate volunteers and ideas from the community. Our motivation is that everyone feels loved, connected and flourishes, both individually and together.

    We journey with people for the long term, whatever their point of access to our organisation, offering a variety of mentoring, support, training and opportunities. Each journey is different, we provide participant led flexibility.

    To reduce isolation and the effects of loneliness
    by providing spaces for people to gather, encouraging integration and relationships and learning from one another.

    To prevent people reaching a personal crisis
    by caring for the whole person and developing their health and wellbeing.

    To restore those coming out of a crisis/trauma
    By walking with them on a journey of hope, mentoring change and exploring new opportunities.

    To create networks and effective partnerships
    we explore collaborations to tackle issues by bringing different communities into a place of trust and mutual support.


    Events and activities (as at September 2024)

    Keep Fit – 9.15-10.15 Mondays £2 Women only class. Friendly and fun exercise, run by a professional trainer. Get fit and strong in a welcoming non-judgemental atmosphere

    Jubilee Get Active – 10.30-11.30 Mondays £3 A light exercise class designed for mature adults and those with mobility issues. To promotes health, fitness, strength and coordination. Run by a professional trainer

    Coffee@JC – Mondays 10.30-12noon Free Come and join us for a coffee and biscuits. Catch up with friends, old and new

    Computer Corner – Mondays 10.30-12noon Free A drop in session where we can help you use laptops to; fill out forms, explore the internet, apply for jobs or learn computer skills. Our friendsly support team is here for you! No reservation required – just swing by and explore the digital space at your own pace

    Luncheon Club – Monday 12-1pm £3 Meet new friends and enjoy a hearty lunch together
    Menology – 1pm-3pm Free men only Menology is a safe space for men to meet up, cook and share a health meal, learn new skills and improve wellbeing.

    Tai Chi – every Wednesday 10.30-11.30 £5 Calms the mind, improves health, increases energy, builds core strength, develops suppleness and co-ordination and corrects posture and improves balance.

    Jubilee Melody Makers- a themed play and stay session for 0-4 year olds. every Tuesday and Thursdays term time only £3 per adult, £2 per child. Join us for craft, singing and free play. With educational toys, an outdoor play area, refreshments (toast and drinks included in price) and a movement session at the end. Baby weighing scales available

    Melody Makers Baby – Suitable for pre-crawlers and those who are pregnant. Fortnightly on Fridays 9.30-11am £3 per family. Come and join us for a focused session about enjoying your baby, making friends and learning new things. Sensory and developmental toys, with a short singing session. Baby weighing scales available

    Jubilee Twins and more – Stay and play group for families with twin, triplets or more. Fortnightly on Fridays 9.30-11am £4 per family. A place for parents to meet and provide mutual support with those that understand the challenges twins and triplets bring. Activities include toys, toast time and singing

    Jubilee Melody Dads – Monthly 3rd Saturday of the month. £4 per family 9.45-11.45. A monthly session for ‘dads to be dads’ for children 0-11 years old. With fun, games, music and singing. Additional cost for a breakfast butty. Book in advance only

    Breathe Happy Café- 1st Saturday of the month 10am-12 noon. Free entrance charge for refreshments. A friendly café and a great space to relax, recharge and connect. Activities for all to share and do, toys, art and crafts for children, an optional wellbeing activity on offer each month such as music, dance and mindfulness.

    Community FoodShare – Fridays 1.30-2.30pm £3 Do you want to reduce your shopping bill and save food from going to landfill? We pay to access good quality surplus food. Food that has been overproduced and would have ended up in landfill. If you would like to collect some, come down to Jubilee Centre.

Regular meetings or activities, usually on a weekly or monthly basis, and exhibitions of more than a week.

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.
