Exhibition at Colne Valley Museum - ‘What did your Ancestors do? Occupations of the Past’

About this activity

4th July - 2nd August. Saturday, Sunday 12pm - 4pm

Huddersfield & District FHS present an exhibition showcasing our ancestors occupations with stories of what individual ancestors were doing in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

This will be supplemented with help and advice from experienced Society volunteers, advising on how to research aspects of your family history through Ancestry and Findmypast and how you can find help to research the history of your house.

Come and join us for a Summer afternoon out at the museum and also see the fascinating aspects of Victorian living in the mid 1800s.

Admission to the Museum gives you entry to this exhibition.

Museum Admission Adults £5, children and members free.

The Museum will have live demonstrations of spinning, weaving or clogging each weekend.
