Pit Poetry Walk (Mining Museum)

About the event

Discover the history of the Museum and the mining industry through poems and stories.

Learn from our friendly volunteers about the history of NCMME and the mining industry through poetry. This guided walk will highlight ten significant spots on site, with resident Volunteer poet, Dave, reciting a poem written for the walk or a famous mining poem relating to that aspect of the site.

Suitable footwear and clothing should be worn. This is an outdoor tour and there may be uneven paths. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children on the tour.
