Woodturning Club (Mirfield)

About this activity

Category: craft Originally known as Birstall Woodturning Club a 'hands on' practical woodturning club for everyone of all ages from all over the Yorkshire region. There is a rapidly growing junior section. Members can come to as many workshops as they like to turn, or just meet friends. The workshop is fully equipped with turning and woodworking machinery and equipment for the use of members.

Activities include the opportunity to 'turn', instruction sessions, visiting demonstrators, competitions, visits, community activities and the opportunity to take part in activities that are social, constructive and therapeutic and enjoy the comradeship of those with similar interests. There is an excellent library and social facilities for the use of members..

The club room is fully accessible and there are disabled parking facilities by the door. Our machines can be adapted to suit the needs of people with mobility problems. Please inquire how your needs can be met if appropriate.
