Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team's 200k challenge

About the event

Incoming Kirklees Mayor, Councillor Nigel Patrick, who will be become Mayor on 19 May, announced that his chosen charity for 2021-2022 is the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
The past year has proven difficult for many charities to undertake the usual fundraising activities, so the team at HVMRT came up with a fundraiser like no other and they want you to join to!

The team will walk 200k in 48 hours and they want you to match them, at your own pace. Run, hike, ride, swim or paddle, it’s up to you and you can clock your distance and progress online.

Join this virtual event from your own home and help raise vital funds for this essential service.

For more details and to register please click on the link under Further Information. Registration ends May 22nd.

HVMRT is a completely voluntary organisation based in Marsden and has continued to deliver search and rescue provision throughout the pandemic.

P.S. You’ll also get a shiny medal too!
