Platinum Jubilee Concert (Dewsbury)

About the event

To celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Kirklees Council has arranged a special Jubilee concert at Dewsbury Town Hall on Sunday 5th June 2022 at 5pm. Concert tickets are £5 plus booking fee (unreserved seating), with the option to enjoy a pre-concert afternoon tea from 3.30pm (pre-booking recommended – not included in the ticket price).

Kirklees-based, Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Musical Director Benjamin Ellin, will perform a selection of proms style celebratory music mixed with a few favourite songs lead by acclaimed singer Eleanor Sandars. The concert will also feature solo trombonist, Isobel Daws.

The programme will include largely familiar music such as Pomp and Circumstance, William Tell Overture (The Lone Ranger!), Orb and Sceptre, I Vow to me Thee my Country, Jerusalem, and more.
