Two days of family entertainment in Marsden - Robbie Cummin returns to Standedge for Canal re-opening 25th anniversary

About the event

1 & 2 August 2026 – Robbie Cumming of TV fame returning to Standedge for our 25th anniversary of the re-opening of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Two days of exciting entertainment for all the family. Entry is free.

On both days – boat trips, food and craft stalls, lots of interesting side shows, a brass band and a major re-enactment of the re-opening of the canal featuring Robbie Cumming.

Car park by Marsden railway station (HD7 6DQ). A short trip on one of our boats or a walk along the towpath gets you to the venue.

Robbie will also be performing his show ‘Canal Boat Stories Live’ on the Saturday evening in the on-site North of England Centre for Music & Arts however tickets are now sold out.
