Linthwaite Leadboilers Festival 2026

About the event

The Linthwaite Leadboilers Festival is a free, volunteer-run community celebration that brings more than 3,000 people into the heart of the village for a full day of music, food, heritage and local pride. Rooted in the old Colne Valley folklore of the “Leadboilers,” the festival blends tradition with modern community spirit — from its colourful programme led by local groups to live performances, family activities, stalls, and the unmistakable atmosphere of a village coming together. Delivered through over 2,000 hours of volunteer effort and supported by local businesses, it’s one of the area’s most cherished annual events, designed to remain accessible to everyone while showcasing the best of Linthwaite’s culture, creativity and community energy.
