About the event
The Friends of Oakwell are starting a friendly, relaxed litter picking group and we’d love you to be part of it.
This is a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some fresh air, and help Oakwell thrive. Whether you come regularly or just when you can, every pair of hands makes a real difference.
Meet us: Courtyard outside the shop
Time: 10am–12 noon
When we meet:
October–March: Second Monday of each month
April–September: Second and fourth Mondays of each month
We’ll provide all equipment, including litter pickers and gloves – just turn up and join in!
It’s a simple, rewarding way to give something back to the park we all love

Walks, rides and conservation
Please see under Events for walks, cycle and horse rides and conservation activities. From short town trails, to strolls around charming valleys and hikes across the Pennine moors, there's usually something for everyone.
