Folk Revival Music Trains on the Penistone Line

About the event

Celebrate the spirit of live music and local culture with Penistone Line Partnership this March during Penistone Arts Week.

Enjoy two lively folk ensembles bringing the journey to life with singing, fiddle, guitar, flute, ukulele, and plenty more toe-tapping sounds!

Take in the breathtaking scenery as you travel Penistone Lines’ iconic viaducts: Paddock, Lockwood, Denby Dale, and Penistone.

Hop on, hop off, and join the music wherever you like!
Just purchase a regular rail ticket on this Northern Trains service, available from staffed ticket offices or online through Northern or other outlets. You may wish to buy a ticket to travel using a platform vending machine (TVM). Please leave 15 minutes before travel to get the cheapest option when using a TVM.

Whether you’re a folk fan, a curious traveller, or just looking for a unique day out, this is your chance to experience live music on the go.

Bring your friends, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy Penistone Arts Week!
