Film: 'Miss Lockwood: The Lady Behind the Lens' (Huddersfield)

About the event

Commissioned by Holmfirth Film Festival in 2011, this documentary traces the life, work and legacy of prolific Holmfirth film maker Kathleen Lockwood.

Between 1938 and 1994, she made scores of films on Standard 8 and Super 8 formats which captured the life of the Holme Valley. Plus a remastered version of The Changing Face of the Holme Valley in the 1970s, made at a time of upheaval in industry and society.

The lunchtime club is an informal meeting of people with an interest in local history. Meetings are held every two months, 1pm on Thursdays, at 16a Victoria Lane, Huddersfield.

Light refreshments will be provided.
