Talk with the National Trust Supporter Group for Halifax and Huddersfield

About the event

During the winter the Association holds monthly talks, usually of a local or historical interest. These are held in the Old Court Room in Huddersfield Town Hall and at the Maurice Jaggar Centre in Halifax.

All are welcome to attend. Group members £4.00, non-members £5.00 (includes refreshments).

Saturday 17 January 2026 - 2:15pm, A Journey along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal by Alun Pugh. (1.45pm for 2.15pm start)

Thursday 5 February 2026 - 10:30am, Halifax Cocoa Houses - part of the Temperance Movement by Corinne McDonald. Corinne is a local historian. (10am for 10.30am start)

Saturday 21 March 2026 - 2:15pm, Walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way by Paula Connelly. (1.45pm for 2.15pm start)

Thursday 9 April 2026 - 10:30am, The Story of the Denby Dale Pies by Cheistine Leveridge. This is an illustrated talk by Christine, a local historian with an interest in the subject. (10am for 10.30am start)
