Activities for those with Parkinson's Disease (Huddersfield)

About this activity

 People with Parkinson's and their carers are invited to come to our monthly meetings.

Come along for refreshments and a social occasion with a wide range of entertainment and speakers throughout the year.

Branch Meetings are held at Cathedral House, St Thomas St, Huddersfield HD1 3LG on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 2pm to 4pm. Please ring or email for more details.

Current Activities available for those with Parkinson’s and their carers

Walking Football is held at Hat Tricks, Milford St, Huddersfield HD1 3DY

Pilates is held on Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 pm at The Zone, St Andrew's Rd, Huddersfield HD1 6PT

Table Tennis at The Zone form 11am to 12 noon on Wednesdays.

“Singers & Shakers” Choir is for Members, Carers and Friends and held on Wednesdays (2pm to 3pm) at the Salvation Church, New Hey Rd, Oakes, Huddersfield HD3 3BZ

No auditions necessary!

“Moving with Parkinson’s” is at Cathedral House on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 1pm to 2pm. Exercise designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s.

“Parky Walking Tennis Group” is held at Longley Park Community Sports Club, Longley Rd, Huddersfield HD5 8JL on Fridays at 12 noon.

  • Tuesday 15 February 2028 - 11:00am - 12:00pm, Pilates is held on Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 pm at The Zone, - may take place till at least the date shown but please check first before attending.
  • Wednesday 16 February 2028 - 11:00am - 12:00pm, Table Tennis at The Zone form 11am to 12 noon on Wednesdays - may take place till at least the date shown but please check first before attending.
  • Wednesday 16 February 2028 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm, “Singers & Shakers” Choir is for Members, Carers and Friends. The Choir meets on Wednesdays in terms and may take place till at least the date shown but please check first before attending.
