Sonar Session - live music event in Slaithwaite

About the event

Monthly live music events in the genres of world, jazz, soul, acoustic & folk. Each Sonar Session will present a lineup of captivating live acts; showcasing established artists alongside emerging local talent.

Taking place at The Watershed a venue, creative hub and participatory arts space in the centre of the idillic village of Slaithwaite with onsite bar and cabaret style seating.

Dates and venues

  • Sunday 20 September 2026 - 6:30pm - 10:00pm, Monique Clare + Isabel Rumble. Wielding a cello and powerhouse vocals Monique Clare is an award-winning songwriter. Indie-folk songstress, Isabel Rumble, crafts intimate, earth-rooted songs that speak directly to the heart.
  • Sunday 18 October 2026 - 6:30pm - 10:00pm, Auka + Miguel Girão - Auka perform genre-defying original music on Irish flute & whistles, acoustic guitar and double bass. A gifted and expressive guitarist Miguel’s music reflects the Traditional music of Scotland, where he is based.
  • Sunday 29 November 2026 - 6:30pm - 10:00pm, Hebble + Satnam Galsian - Hebble are an eclectic world folk band with instruments that play lively, international traditional music. Satnam Galsian is a British-Asian vocalist reflecting North Indian and Western music traditions.
