About the event

Enjoy a country walk? Fascinated by local heritage? Combine the two by joining our friendly guide in this 2-hour circular walk around the Museum. Discover shadows of the industry hidden in the landscape that may surprise you!

You’ll walk through scenic countryside landscapes dotted with remnants of the past, hearing stories of the men, women, and children who worked the pits and shaped the local communities.

This is more than just a walk, it’s a chance to connect with the past, enjoy some fresh air, and share stories. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a great way to spend your morning, this walk is for you.
