University of Huddersfield Winter Festival, including Christmas Market

About the event

On Wednesday 3 December, the university is transforming the campus for a day of festive fun, bursting with energy, celebration and seasonal sparkle.

Everyone’s welcome to this free festive event – no ticket is needed to explore campus and soak up the cheer!

Join us for a series of events that perfectly blends holiday cheer and showcases our research and innovation activity.

• Wander through our Christmas Market packed with festive stalls, handmade gifts and seasonal treats

• Be inspired by a special talk and live performance 'Composing sound in 3D' from Prof Monty Adkins and Prof Hyunkook Lee

• Enjoy live music from our brilliant brass band, university choir and acoustic singers

• Explore a captivating exhibition and hear from researchers shaping the future

• Celebrate inspiring work with our School of Human and Health Postgraduate Research Conference

• Explore the cutting-edge world of advanced manufacturing in an engaging public demo from the School of Computing and Engineering

• Join the School of Arts and Humanities in a series of hands-on workshops from guided stiching to watercolour postcards

• Explore architecture through an artist gallery tour and public lecture by Prof Nic Clear and Dr Hyun Jun Park
