  1. Shaping Care in Kirklees CIC is a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company. We provide wellbeing activities Tuesdays and Thursdays. We support companionship and volunteering to combat loneliness and isolation.

    We are a community-based third sector organisation committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of local people in Kirklees. Helping individuals retain their independence and dignity while reducing reliance on statutory services. We work alongside people to support them in doing as much for themselves as possible, for as long as possible.

    Our approach is rooted in person-centred support, ensuring that individual needs, aspirations and choices are central to everything we do. Through a wide range of activities—including health and wellbeing sessions, peer support, signposting, and volunteering—we aim to empower individuals to take control of their health and lives. Our vision is for people in Kirklees to live confidently, in better health, for longer, with fewer inequalities.

    SCiK is a comprehensive wellbeing service, designed to support people socially, physically, communally, and financially, with an emphasis on independence, personalisation, and choice.

    What we do?
    - Yoga Pilates fusion.
    - Wellbeing Walk in the Park (Greenhead) Flat walks, Half or Full Circuit,
    - Drumming for Big Drum Dance, singing, dancing drumming percussions
    Chair Yoga - Improve your – balance, breathing, strength and flexibility.

    What’s on?
    - Tuesdays (11am – 2pm) at Gledholt Methodist Church
    (Yoga/Pilates/Occasional Drumming, Wellbeing Discussions, Projects)
    - Thursdays (11am – 2pm) at Greenhead Park Community meeting room
    (Wellbeing walk/Chair Yoga/Big Drum percussions)

Regular meetings or activities, usually on a weekly or monthly basis, and exhibitions of more than a week.
