  1. The aim of the group is to conserve and regenerate the woodlands of Storthes Hall, their flora, fauna and wildlife habitats as a community resource and promote their use by local people as a place for the enjoyment and study of the countryside; and also take consideration and care for sites of historical and archaeological importance. At present the woods are in private ownership and there is only one public footpath through the woods, although the owners allow the public access to all areas outside of the old Storthes Hall hospital buildings area. It appears that the woods may come into public ownership, dependent on the development project in the above mentioned brown field site. We are limited at present to small scale works such as litter picking, but also researching and lobbying for greater community involvement. Meetings are roughly every 2 months. Please contact us if you want to attend or get involved.
