  1. Our Society brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts and our events provide welcoming places to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts.

    We meet in Room SJG/11, Spärk Jones Building, University of Huddersfield,
    Firth Street, Huddersfield HD1 3DH on the third Thursday of the month.

    The lectures start at 7.15pm but if you arrive by 6.45pm there will be time to meet friends and to socialise with wine and soft drinks. If you like what you see and hear you might wish to become a member. Membership is £50 and non-members are permitted to attend up to 2 lectures for £7.50 per lecture. Normally we add categories for you when the entry is set up, but you have the option to edit them. Very occasionally some categories have restricted usage and we’ll let you know if we feel there’s a problem.

Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.
