  1. Petanque (known in France as boules) is a game in the bowls family that is easy to play. Why not come along and have a game. Our friendly members will help and advise you if you have never played before.

Currently we have 56 members. Our social days are every Monday, from 13:00 hrs to approximately 16:30 hrs.
We also play on every Friday of every month starting at 13:00 hrs.

We have 4 petanque terrains with a total of 8 pistes giving us a playing capability of 48 members playing simultaneously.
We hope to build another terrain with three pistes in the near future, giving us an extra 18 playing places.

We play in the West Yorkshire Petanque league against teams from Heckmondwike, Huddersfield and Leeds, and also the Kirklees Petanque League against Heckmondwike and Huddersfield.
Mirfield Petanque Club is also a member of Petanque Yorkshire.

Special events and competitions are planned throughout the year, such as the Final Monday of the Month Melee, Beer and Boules Festival and a French Themed day.

Please see our website or contact us for more details.
