  1. The Packhorse Gallery displays and sells work by Yorkshire based artists, including those with mental health problems. We welcome new and existing artists.

The gallery is part of the mental health charity S2R. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week, 10am to 4pm. (closed Wednesdays and Sundays). We occasionally have to vary these hours, and apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

Do you want to be a professional artist? Do you want to have a space where you can express yourself and display the work that you create? Do you want to become part of an artistic community?

At the Packhorse Gallery exhibition spaces are available to hire, by Yorkshire based Artists, for between 4 – 12 weeks at a time. Hire fees vary depending on space size. In any given month Artists can choose from up to 25 different spaces, with the option of additional furniture, to enhance your display at no extra cost. Per 4 weekly slot- space hire fees range from just £3 up to £24, so there is something for everyone. The Gallery takes a 30% sales commission- with the proceeds going to S2R, your local Mental Health Charity. Space hire is on a first come, first serve basis and you can book up to 6 months ahead of time. Full payment of space hire fees must be made at the time of booking.
If you are interested in booking a space, please contact the Packhorse Gallery at or 07553348701 in order to book a meeting.
