  1. Meetings held monthly at various locations around the ward. Lindley Community Group exists to support all aspects of community life, running the Carnival and Youth Project and supporting local groups and initiatives. All details will be posted on the group's website in due course.

Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

  2. The Lindley Community Group is a non-profit organisation which endeavours to promote and organise community events involving the local areas of Birchencliffe, Birkby, Lindley, Marsh, Mount, Oakes, Salendine Nook and Quarmby within Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

    Our aims are to:
    • organise social events within the local community
    • support projects for young people
    • promote community integration
    • support local initiatives (working in partnership with local organisations)
    • raise funds to cover the costs of promoting local events as well as continuing to develop the good community spirit that already exists.

    The Group may also engage in fund raising activities for charitable causes from time to time as the committee sees fit. We also welcome the involvement of any other outside group or individuals who wish to partake in any event organised by the group.
