Normally we add categories for you when the entry is set up, but you have the option to edit them. Very occasionally some categories have restricted usage and we’ll let you know if we feel there’s a problem.

The categories are tiered with the broadest first. Click on the plus sign till you find the specific categories that best suit your group.

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

  1. For years our local Victorian Park had been suffering from misuse, vandalism, fly-tipping and a lack of investment. Fed up with witnessing the slow decline of the park a small group of local residents set about forming an action-based group to tackle these issues.

We began in 1998 by lobbying Kirklees Council to address the back-log of maintenance tasks and making good damage caused by vandalism. Over the years we've developed a good working relationship with Kirklees Leisure & Recreation Service and local Councillors, as all of us have a shared interest in wanting to improve Norman Park.

If you're interested in helping us or just want to find out more, then please contact us.
