History

  1. We started this dog club for the people of Heckmondwike after numerous requests. We had to move from the hall as the roof fell in and and the church did not have funds available to repair it.
This was just over 10 years ago. We then moved to Birkenshaw and when the classes got too full we expanded to Gomersal. At the start of Covid the Council closed Gomersal Public Hall. We now train at The Whitfield Centre in Batley. One of our trainers is registered with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers which ensures kind, effective and fair methods are used at all times, and also a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor.
