  1. We are a local group seeking to raise awareness and develop services for blind people. Our mission is to reach out to people who are visually-impaired who may be lonely and isolated.

Our aims are to provide activities and events for blind and partially-sighted people weekly or monthly throughout the year, to help overcome social isolation and bring people together, to deal with and overcome the potential problems associated with disability.

These involve coffee mornings and games on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Also, a weekly visiting befriending service, weekly exercise sessions, and a monthly activity club with a range of activities and transport included.

Most activities take place at our office at 8 Upperhead Row, Huddersfield. Please contact us for more details.

We are also running a series of trips for blind and partially-sighted people, going to places such as Red House Museum, Leeds Playhouse, Bradford Alhambra and Shelley Garden Centre and various others, often with special tour. Please contact us for more details.

We are a registered charity, and cover the whole of Kirklees. We welcome enquiries from volunteers to help us with our work.
