Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

News

You can add or amend news items, and the date will change automatically, although you may need to go back into the entry to see the revised date.

To delete a news item, there is a delete option when you press Edit. This currently works only on the headline, and the text field needs to be saved with at least one digit in it, e.g. ‘x’. Alternatively, you can replace it with a new item.

Gomersal and the Great War

  1. The summer of 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One which claimed the lives of over 16 million people and had an impact on the lives of everyone across the globe.

The Little Gomersal Community Association in partnership with Gomersal Moravian Church has been awarded a grant from the Community First Fund for a project to research the impact WWI had on Gomersal.

The project will involve researching the Gomersal men who fought and died in the War and will lead to the creation of a touring display and information booklets.

Those interested in being involved in the project contact Joanne Catlow - joanne.catlow@yahoo.co.uk
