  1. We run Rugby League teams from Cubs (children under 6) up to 11 yr olds - at the moment. Next year it will be for up to 12 year olds.

Normally we add categories for you when the entry is set up, but you have the option to edit them. Very occasionally some categories have restricted usage and we’ll let you know if we feel there’s a problem.

The categories are tiered with the broadest first. Click on the plus sign till you find the specific categories that best suit your group.

Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

News

You can add or amend news items, and the date will change automatically, although you may need to go back into the entry to see the revised date.

To delete a news item, there is a delete option when you press Edit. This currently works only on the headline, and the text field needs to be saved with at least one digit in it, e.g. ‘x’. Alternatively, you can replace it with a new item.

Starting a Cubs section

  1. On Tuesday evenings from 6pm we are starting a section for those children who are not yet old enough to play in the Under 8's. (Under 6 years old). Where the emphasis is on hand-eye co-ordination and basic sports skills.

History

  1. We reformed in 2003, and started with 2 teams, and 4 coaches. In 2013 our teams started in the Yorkshire Junior League - with U8's U9's and U11's. Many of our players have gone on to play Open Age - including those at professional clubs and scholarships at Super League Clubs.
