  1. The Pakistan Association is a voluntary organisation, and is registered company limited by guarantee No 5555348 (England and Wales). Based in Thornton Lodge, it provides help, support and advice to the community, and covers South Kirklees and is a member of South Asian Consortium Kirklees (SACK).

    It provides a number of Social Welfare and Community Projects including:

    Elderly drop in session every Monday between 11 am to 1 pm - Hot food is provided. Everybody welcome

    Working with different voluntary organisations working in the area to address local issues and provide services

    Providing a local venue for the meeting of the Police Neighbourhood team,

Bus trips for over 60s 2019

  1. We will be running three bus day trips in this summer to the seaside and one trip to the house of Commons London to meet our both MPs Ms Thelma Walker MP for Colne Valley and Mr Barry Sheerman MP For Huddersfield, tour round House of Commons and hear the debate and see the democracy in action at the Parliament House in June 2019. Everybody over 60 who lives in Crosland Moor and bottom of Newsome would be welcome because we are funded by the People's Health Trust for this area due to deprivation. All these trips for the elderly are free. Seats are allocated on first come first served. Please contact or visit our centre on any Monday except public holidays between 10.30 am to 1 pm. .

  1. The Pakistan Association Huddersfield was established in 1987 and the money were raised from the community to buy the centre building. Currently the centre is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. At present the Association has 110 members who are part of a democratic organisation serving the local community in South Kirklees.
