The Association is based in Stocksmoor but with a wide catchment area. We have been twinned with a small Italian town called Olgiate Molgora between Milan and Lake Como for over 25 years.

We are a group of people with an interest in Italy and all things Italian who formed a recognized twinning association with Olgiate Molgora. Our two communities were formally linked in June 1998. Since then we have shared wonderful hospitality and spectacular visits in both our countries. From this firm friendships have formed and continued to thrive.

Over the years attitudes to and expectations of foreign travel have changed greatly. And , in recognition of this, the Association has decided to change our way of operating. We are intending to move away from hosting in our own homes and explore the possibilities of visiting many more places in the UK and Italy.

This will probably take the form of some city visits of a few days where both Italians and ourselves will visit and enjoy free time together. We have already done this from time to time with visits to London, Rome and Venice. This May we are going to have 3 days in Trieste in northern Italy which is a bit off the normal tourist route but is a town of great interest both politically and historically.
