History

  1. Wakefield & District branch of the MS Society was formed in 1966 and is run totally by volunteers and raises its own funds from collections, donations, members subscriptions and a variety of fundraising initiatives. The branch runs social groups for anyone with MS in our area and can provide support and grants for mobility aids where funding is unavailable elsewhere in certain circumstances. There is also a weekly chair exercise group in Castleford for people with MS.
