  2. Northfield Hall replaces the previous community building, Brackenhall Community Centre, which was the main hub for the community since it was opened in 1940. However in recent years it has been running at near capacity and a new facility has been a top priority for Brackenhall Community Trust for over 10 years, who with the help of major funding and guidance from Deighton and Brackenhall Initiative are close to achieving their goal.

One of the key priorities for the building is to ensure local residents have a top class venue which caters for all sorts of activities and events. All the user groups from the previous centre will be bringing their current activities to the building and there has already been high interest in the hiring of space from other local groups who wish to make use of the facilities.

Northfield Hall is also home to the local Brackenhall United Reformed Church (URC), which has also made the transition from Brackenhall Community Centre. For more information please visit their website
