More for kids!

  1. September 2012, saw the opening of our new two storey community building and pre-school facility. This facility allows for development of community programmes as well as being a place for hire and other user groups to meet within the community of Heckmondwike.

We have a pre-school on the first floor with brand new facilities, designated play area and lift facility. For more information about the pre-school please see our website.

Every Monday (term time) we operate a Parent and Toddler Group called Little Angels - this takes place in the pre-school room so we have the added bonus of excellent toys, activities and facilities.

Friday 6th June 2014 sees the commencement of Gener8 (a kids club for 5 to 11 year olds). There will be games, crafts, stories, tuck shop and loads of fun.

History

  1. Members of Heckmondwike Salvation Army have been worshipping and serving in the town and surrounding area for 125 years. In September 2012, we opened 'The Hub' - a brand new, purpose built two story community centre and pre-school facility and currently are refurbishing our worship space. 2013 saw the commencement of new community programs and we will continue to serve our community in the 21st Century.
A very warm welcome is given to all who come and we would like to invite you to come and visit us either on a Sunday when we enjoy family friendly, relaxed Christian worship, or at one of our other activities during the week.
