  1. Pennine Sailing Club is situated on Winscar Reservoir in the hills above Holmfirth, in the Peak District National Park, and attracts a growing membership of 200 sailors and windsurfers from the surrounding areas of Sheffield, Huddersfield, Barnsley and Glossop.

Normally we add categories for you when the entry is set up, but you have the option to edit them. Very occasionally some categories have restricted usage and we’ll let you know if we feel there’s a problem.

The categories are tiered with the broadest first. Click on the plus sign till you find the specific categories that best suit your group.

Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

News

You can add or amend news items, and the date will change automatically, although you may need to go back into the entry to see the revised date.

To delete a news item, there is a delete option when you press Edit. This currently works only on the headline, and the text field needs to be saved with at least one digit in it, e.g. ‘x’. Alternatively, you can replace it with a new item.

RYA Recognised Sailing Courses

  2. Pennine Sailing Club was recently awarded status as an officially recognised RYA Training Centre, which means that it can run internationally recognised sailing courses for members who are beginners, improvers to experts.

  2. The modern clubhouse with showers, cafe and bar were opened by Princess Anne and is now maintained by over 200 active members.

    This excellent facility is open to all, so why not come and talk to us about membership, sailing courses or try a test sail of one of the many boats that we sail at the club.
