  1. The Young Peoples Activity Team provides sessional leisure and recreational activities for disabled children and young people aged 5 to 18.

    Services offered include:

    Summer playschemes and Holiday clubs - in all school holidays except May spring bank.

    Weekend clubs ¬– 6 hours, Saturday and Sunday.

    Out of school clubs – 3 ½ hours weeknights during term time.

    All services are allocated upon assessed need by Kirklees Children with a Disability Team only.

    The team provide a range of safe and stimulating activities for the children and young people around the team values of Fun, Opportunity and Risk taking.

    YPAT has an experienced team of paid staff and volunteers with training in areas such as positive behavior support (PBS), moving and handling, first aid and administering medication with all staff and volunteers having undergone a DBS check and safeguarding training.

Venue

    2. Either, there are specially marked parking spaces for disabled people, or disabled people can park within 50 metres of an accessible entrance. Disabled parking
    3. There is a toilet which can be accessed by people with disabilities including wheelchair users. This means that it complies with the standards set out in Part M of the Building Regulations,'Access to and use of buildings. Fully accessible toilet

    3. There is a toilet with some facilities for people with disabilities but it may not be suitable for everybody. Please contact the group if you need further information. Partially accessible toilet
