Normally we add categories for you when the entry is set up, but you have the option to edit them. Very occasionally some categories have restricted usage and we’ll let you know if we feel there’s a problem.

The categories are tiered with the broadest first. Click on the plus sign till you find the specific categories that best suit your group.

Venue

If you want to change your venue or add a new one please use the postcode / street name field to see a list of venues. This should cover all venues in Kirklees, but if you can’t find the venue you need please contact Community Directory, and we will advise or add it for you.

News

You can add or amend news items, and the date will change automatically, although you may need to go back into the entry to see the revised date.

To delete a news item, there is a delete option when you press Edit. This currently works only on the headline, and the text field needs to be saved with at least one digit in it, e.g. ‘x’. Alternatively, you can replace it with a new item.

Marquee hire

  1. Due to popular demand Netherton Community Centre is now doing Marquee and event equipment hire. Discounts for community groups based in Kirklees.

    As well as this you could hire the community room for special occasions including parties, weddings and meetings.

    The Community Centre is run by the Netherton Tenants and Residents Association who have recently refurbished the club including newly painted throughout and new disabled toilets and kitchen amenities.
