  1. Music and the Deaf is a unique charity in Europe and probably the world. Over the last 25 years, we have developed a wide range of projects which are improving the accessibility of music to anyone of any age and with any level of hearing loss. We also offer guidance to those who live and work with them. Music and the Deaf is proud to be one of Kirklees Council's Creative Partners and is looking forward to creating new opportunities in Kirklees. Our activities include:

Practical Workshops (educational or community based)

Training for teachers, musicians or sign language interpreters (see below for upcoming courses)

    Talks

Music Clubs (Including Kirklees Deaf Music Club fortnightly on Saturday afternoons.)

Singing & Signing Choirs (including Handy Voices / Kirklees Singing and Signing Choir for both deaf and hearing people. They meet every Tuesday evening)

If you require any further information, please contact us. We would be delighted to welcome you to any Music and the Deaf activities.
