We are a Scout group which has its Headquarters in Track Road, Batley near to the Al-Hikmah Centre.

The building is available for hire for parties of 100-150 people. It has a large main hall down stairs with a smaller room upstairs. It has excellent toilet facilities and a large modern kitchen with oven, fridge and microwave.

The building is heated and has a pleasant atmosphere and is situated away from the road making it safe for children, with private off street parking.

History

  1. The Scouting organisation was founded by Robert Baden Powell in 1907 to give boys aged eight years and over from the disadvantaged side of town, a chance to get involved and learn about a different side of life and explore the outdoors. Now girls are welcomed into scouting. 2007 was the centenary of the movement.
