History

  1. This charity was founded in 1952 from an amalgamation of other historic Honley-based charities (Honley & District Nursing Association, Diamond Jubilee Nursing Fund (1897), Josiah France Memorial Fund and a bequest from Mrs P Winder (1943)). It was endowed with capital to provide aid to the poor and sick persons resident in the Parish of Honley and Brockholes.
