Heckmondwike: today in Open Door Fortnight (Friday and Saturday)

About the event

During Community Open Door Fortnight some local community groups would like to welcome you in to show you what they do, have a chat, and perhaps you might like to take part or become a volunteer.

Friday 9th and 16th October

Salvation Army Friday Friends at Barrack Street 10am to 2pm

Craft and Chat at Heckmondwike Library 10.30am to 12.30pm (*only on 16th October)

Memory Lane Dementia Choir at Spen Court Care Home, Railway Street 2pm to 3.45pm

Saturday 10th and 17th October

Heckmondwike Cycle Speedway Club in Algernon Firth Park 9am Booking required.

Heckmondwike Petanque Club in Algernon Firth Park 10am

Salvation Army Coffee Morning at Barrack Street 10am to 12pm (* only on 10th October)

With most activities you can just turn up, but some do require booking so please check. Most are free but several ask for donations for drinks, and some have a set fee.
