Chamber Music Concert with Pennine Chamber Collective (Huddersfield)

About the event

A collective built out of the local talent from the University of Huddersfield will perform 3 lunchtime concerts in the 2026/7 season.

Concerts take place in the Reception Room at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Dates and venues

  • Monday 28 September 2026 - 1:00pm, A rich programme from the late works of the French composers Claude Debussy and Gabriel Fauré. The enigmatic cello sonata is paired with Debussy’s colourful violin sonata. The concert closes with Fauré’s elegant trio.
  • Monday 9 November 2026 - 1:00pm, This concert brings the exciting saxophone sonata by Robert Muczynski along with Paul Hindemith’s ingenious bassoon sonata. This is paired with a set of character pieces by William Hurlstone and a set of saxophone quartet music!
  • Monday 18 January 2027 - 1:00pm, A rich programme of piano duets. From the delicate textures of Maurice Ravel to the enchanting and distinctive works of Amy Beach, this recital is an energetic mix of piano chamber music which provides a variety of underplayed music.
