Villagers: Sculpting the Community - exhibition at The Mining Museum (starting October 23rd)

About this activity

Dates
Friday 23 October 2026 - Sunday 24 January 2027 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays)

Location
Project Space, The Hub

Marking Betty Miller’s centenary, the exhibition Villagers reunites pieces from ‘My Village’ for the first time in 20 years, alongside new work from Lenny & Whale responding to these iconic sculptures. Additional inspiration comes from the people and places of Royston, South Yorkshire, the village of Betty Miller’s childhood.

The resulting exhibition will debut at the Museum, celebrating creativity, heritage and community identity, before travelling to the Mining Art Gallery, Bishop Auckland.
