‘Lives Lived Here’ A celebration of our Industrial heritage and the women who shaped the Colne Valley.

About this activity

The exhibition will include photographs, and genuine artefacts from the museum collection, celebrating the Suffragettes who led the struggle for women’s rights. We would love to welcome you to the museum where you can discover what life was like around the 1840s when the cottages were inhabited by families of handloom weavers.

Volunteers, in contemporary costume, demonstrate various crafts including spinning, weaving and clogging, and will explain to you what life was like in the cottages.

The tearoom will be open for homemade cakes and refreshments.

Entrance to the museum is £5, children and members are free.
