About the event
The Leeds Waits are a re-creation of the official musicians of the Borough of Leeds, offering unique concerts that shine a light on the lesser-known corners of English and Yorkshire history.
Come along, be entertained, and discover the stories they didn’t teach you at school!

Wednesday 20 May 2026 - 11:00am, Costume Through the Ages - The Leeds Waits open their personal costume collection to reveal how fashion — from the 17th to the 19th centuries — reflected status, identity, practicality, and changing taste.
Tuesday 30 June 2026 - 11:00am, Yorkshire and The Civil War - Through music, narrative, and living history, discover how Yorkshire leaders shaped the conflict, and explore the key battles fought across the county, including the pivotal Battle of Adwalton Moor.
Wednesday 15 July 2026 - 11:00am, The Bard and his Music -Step into the soundworld of Elizabethan England as The Leeds Waits reveal the musical life of the world’s most famous playwright.
