Activities for those affected by Parkinsons (North Kirklees and Wakefield area)

About this activity

Category: Health

The activities are run by Wakefield Parkinson's Support Group and we are here not only for those diagnosed with Parkinson's disease but also for carers, friends, family and anyone affected by PD.

A walking group meets in Wilton Park, Batley and is suitable for all abilities and accessible to wheelchair users. It is a friendly group using walks to make friends, chat and exercise.

In Kirklees there are also fortnightly social coffee mornings in Batley and Cleckheaton, Please contact us for details.

There is also a walking group at Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield, and both a Walking and Nordic Walking Group at Thornes Park, Wakefield,

Also a Wakefield support group offers information and support for people affected by Parkinson's. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Wrenthorpe Village Hall - all welcome! We often have a speaker, and have a range of other activities available.

Please see under Further Information for more details and get in touch to confirm the next meeting date.
