Young at Heart (meet Shawcross)

About this activity

Categories: older people; social Young at Heart is a volunteer led group that meets weekly we aim to support people who may be feeling isolated or lonely and who would like to socialise and make new friends.

We are a small friendly group who do simple craft activities, play games, have coffee and just have a chat. We also enjoy meals and trips out together. Most members are over 60.

We have had some success in helping people to start getting out and about on their own again. We can usually help with transport to the group if required. Small weekly charge but first week free. Please feel free to give us a call and have a chat.

We meet most Thursdays 10am to 12noon at Shawcross club - please ring first just to check.
