Job for the Boy was one of Honley Players’ first productions. As part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations, we proudly present this new production directed by Martin Tyrrell.

David Lomax is coming home to Yorkshire…the first in his family to gain a university degree. Will he fulfil the wishes of his ambitious mother, or will he choose a different path?

What will he make of the strange American who is sleeping in his room…and who is the aristocratic young lady trying to track him down?

From the pen of local playwright Dennis Driscoll, this wonderful comedy of family loyalties, love and ambition, is resurrected, sixty years after it was the first play performed by Honley Players, in 1966.
