About the event
18-21 May
Occurring
18 May 2026, 9 a.m. for 3 days, 3 hours, 30 mins
Come and join us on this walk visiting churches across the Huddersfield Deanery. It's a great way to connect with others in our area and see different churches. We will stop to pray at each of the churches and stop for refreshments at some of them.
You are welcome to join on any day and for as many (or few) stops as you like. Walk distances range from 3.5 to 5.4 miles per day with some off-road walking on some of the days. The attachment gives an overview of the churches visited on each day and the approximate timings & cumulative mileage per day.
The prayer walk is led by Father Simon Crook (vicar of St Mark's, Longwood & St John's Golcar). If you need any further information please contact Fr Simon by email revscrook@gmail.com - for an informal chat Heike from St Stephen's might be able to answer your questions as she has been in previous years and will join in with the Wednesday walk this year.
